IDcontrol solved the challenges of access control for airport properties with Nedap.

October 14, 2019

During 2013, Lentoasemakiinteestöt Oyj (LAK) applied for new door management solution. The aim was to find a partner who would be able to provide maintenance and service of the door locks and to develop, together with LAK, access control for the premises. As a result of the rigorous tendering process, LAK chose IDcontrol Oy as its supplier and Nedap software for access control. The selection was influenced by the partner’s good location in the airport area and the opportunities offered by the new access control system.

There are many different access control systems in the premises of LAK that have in common that they cannot be centrally managed. With Nedap AeOS, LAK and IDcontrol Oy had a common goal to develop a solution that is a centralized access control solution that can be deployed in a variety of applications. Our partnership started in spring 2014 and since then the number of Nedap doors in LAK properties has been slowly increasing.

LAK – Lentoasemakiinteistöt Oyj (LAK)

LAK is a real estate company wholly owned by Finavia, which is responsible for airport operations. LAK leases office space at its airport buildings to meet the needs of companies in the air transport service chain and those in the vicinity of the airport. LAK does not own any passenger terminals, parking facilities or buildings directly related to Finavia’s own operations. LAK is actively seeking to grow its real estate portfolio both to meet the needs of its existing clientele and to seek new clients and business opportunities. Currently, LAK’s operations are concentrated at Helsinki-Vantaa and Turku airports.

LAK is known in the Helsinki metropolitan area as one of the best tenants who listen to their customers – it is important for IDcontrol to work with a partner who also wants to serve their customers in the best possible way.
